So im going BACK to college

Half a year of the "Working World" Sucks balls. Especially seeing guys in their 50's working in my shoes!

So its time to go back to college...And get in debt, LOTS of debt.

Im putting my first semester on my credit Card! Books and all its gonna be around 500 bones!

Im applying for financial aid but what do i do? Will they mail me the money to pay off my credit card? How does this work! I DONT WANNA FUCK MY LIFE UP. I realize im gonna be in debt. But is using my credit card to get the ball rolling the right thing to do?

No. Credit cards are not the way to go for college.

But I don't have all the answers either.

you're an idiot if you put it on a credit card. have you seen what they charge in interest?

get a loan or apply for financial aid. it's not that hard. school loans are given out like candy. i have to reject them every year. try to get a scholarship if you can. i have a few :wink:

I'm going back to college this fall too, after working at walmart for 6 months...  fuck that.

(I'm half smoking a bowl/filling the application out now)

I plan on trying to get the grants before I have to pay, but if not I should be able to come up with the payments for the 1700 bucks tuition is going to be.

I wonder if I can get Stafford loans, the only credit I have is unpaid utility bills and a broken lease.

you wont regret it college is much more enjoyable and rewarding than a monotonous job that requires physical labour.

gratz on going back OP, i just enrolled in college today for the first time in 2 years. i did 3 years in the work world, even made really good money, but I'm excited to go back.

DO NOT put shit on a credit card. student loans are a way better option, after trying for scholarships. $500/semester is pretty damn good, but still try to avoid extra debt at all costs.

I registered with FAFSA, applied for financial aid and took out a 'subsidized' loan. I would suggest this way to go. Taking out this kind of loan lets you pay off your debt anytime during your tenure @ your school, so it doesn't build and build without paying off any of it.
