I have a friend with a 1924 GE X-Ray machine, it's in working
condition and he's having a hell of a time unloading it. the one
in the Smithsonian is 1932 and they'll take it as a tax deductable
donation, it's the oldest one known currently in existence

when we picked it up and dragged it to my apartment and set it up
it was quite a conversation piece, we got a GE rep out to look at
it and he said "My god, I bet this thing has zapped more people
than you can count"

that's when I thought about hooking it to power

yeah... serious radiation, probably one of the machines that
gave half the nation cancer, the thing was in use up until the
early 90s, it was owned by a local doctor that wasnt 100% above
board, apparently in the 80s he crashed his plane on his
property, it was still there when we got the x-ray, seems he was
doing some fly overs on his place at  a low altitude dropping
large bundles of laundry... I mean most people just drive to the
cleaners to pic stuff up

a friend of mine that refurbs x-rays and sells them over seas
said it would be in my best interest not to hook it up...

I can almost guarantee you that it was stolen by someone who plans to either use it, or sell it withing the "fetish" community. Even simple medical instruments that cost 50 - 100 $ can easily go for 500 or more depending on how hard they are to acquire. Pervs will go to great lengths to satisfy their naughty desires. :crazy2:
