I want this edition of 1984...
    #8601902 -

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0141036141/downandoutint-21

But I can only find it on the UK amazon site, and I'm in bloody California, the shipping price would make it a ripoff.

If anyone sees this available from a US source I'd be thankful for a heads-up. That's probably the best cover art I've seen for the book.

I sure do.

It's rare I buy a book and add it to my collection rather than visit a library, so I might as well get one that I really like the looks of.

Then again, this one isn't too bad an alternative, but I've got my heart set on the one I already linked to. God damn if they weren't expecting to charge me 7 pounds just to deliver the damn thing. That's a fair number of USD for a goddamn paperback.

That one is pretty cool, yeah... it was one of the choices I was going to go with if I couldn't get the one I was looking for at a reasonable price.

Something about paying just shy of $22 for a paperback would make me go apeshit... so I'm likely to get that one instead, in fact.

I really wish GBP would crash just so I could snag the book at a steal from Amazon UK... yes I did just say that. Am I a callous bastard or just full of crap? You decide...

I think they've done it like, 5 times already.
