Gym, but is it active?

I believe I found a GYM but from my homework I've down before posting I doubt it's active.  It does seem to fit the profile of the gyms that live around here.

Habitat: Damp Mulch.

Gills: Hard saying these seem slightly old.  They stick out.

Stem: Whitish and slightly yellow?

Cap: Rounded up

Spore print color: Currently waiting.

Bruising: No color change was observed.

Location: Picked in north eastern USA

There are Gyms that do not grow on wood but they are the minority.

Gymnopilus rufobrunneus, grows on soil, found in Idaho.

Gymnopilus fulvicolor, grows on leaf-mold, among sticks, under pine in Florida.

Gymnopilus punctifolius, active, on coniferous wood, debris and rich humus in Idaho, Washington, Oregon and California.

Gymnopilus terrestris, on soil and humus under conifers in Michigan, Colorado, Idaho, Washington and Orgeon.

Gymnopilus fulgens, among moss on peaty soil, charred sphagnum or burned over soil in Michigan (also Europe).

Gymnopilus abramsii, on soil in California.

Gymnopilus humicola, on humus in Michigan, Idaho, Tennessee and Washington.

Gymnopilus angustifolius, on soil in Michigan.

Gymnopilus arenicola, on soil in Washington.

Yours doesn't seem to be any of those given the picture and the description.

some gyms are very active with no sign of bluing, witch in most gyms is a green.

I just traded some P subbs that I dried out for this book. My friend had no money, and felt bad about taking my mushrooms free of charge, so he whipped out his amazon gift card, and ordered the book! Damn it's informative!

Look at some pics of gyms.  seriously.  how the shit.  You must have your hopes up really high.

I havent been in this game for long but i have the intuition to tell the difference between gyms and, well, that.  No offence, just learn up kid.
