I've always had a theory about pupils dialating.  I think they become this way on drugs because you are being stimulated by visualizations going on all around you.  Therefore, your brain, in that state of mind, "likes" to take in as much as it can from any and all senses...visual included.

There has got to be some sort of eye drop that can help you out, a few minutes on google and a medical site will probably yeild a result.

i used to deal with the4 same shit, if i had to talk to the parents better believe i was staring at the light the whole time. keeps the pupils down nicely.

I'm pretty sure your pupils dilate simply because your brain temporarily loses the ability to contract them.  There's nothing any sort of eyedrop can do.  I even did an experiment.  When tripping, I stared deep into my cell phone to see if I could un-dilate my eyes.  It didn't work at all.

I think it's actually a pretty amazing physical manifestation of the psychedelic experience.  If tripping can be viewed as an expansion of your sensory inputs (i.e. mind) on all counts, then it does make sense that your eyes would dilate.  You're literally receiving more input than you do while sober.

As far as tripping with contacts in - as long as you know how to put them in correctly you won't have any problems, I rarely take mine out while tripping.  Smoking a little reefer can dry them out and make them uncomfortable though, so make sure you have some saline solution.

Oh no no, nothing like that.  I mean, colored contacts only have a certain portion for letting in light, and the rest is color.  So if your pupils do dilate, the contacts are still only going to let in a certain amount of light, you know?
