Lets Cut The BS

Ok seriously now I see a lot of rationalizing for all our drug use. We are all doing harm to our selves even from just smoking that joint or just eating that 1 shroom. Drugs are bad for you.....Do I care.....NO.........But cmon let's stop acting like it's no big deal to do this shit. It's bad for you and it's illegal for a reason. Yes alcohol and tabacoo should be illegal 2.

Nothing should be illegal. I should be free to put whatever the fuck I want into my body.

As for your statement "it's illegal for a reason".. yeah you're right.

Pot is illegal for a number of reasons - mostly, racism.. and big business. Synthetic textile industry to be precise, they couldn't compete with the superior product that is hemp. Do your fucking research before saying stupid things.

yeah you're right and we should have government mandated diets and exercise routine.  because eating junk food and not working out is bad for you. 

I think the dangers of obesity and health in the country is far more severe than the health risks from soft drug use.

These responses are unreasonably hostile. Get real people. I agree with the OP that there is a lot of justification for drug abuse. But I definitely don't agree that mushrooms are harmful...this isn't even an opinion...there is no scientific evidence in support of that. Marijuana is harmful to your lungs. But that doesn't mean it should be illegal.

I agree that a lot of people on the Shroomery have problems with drug abuse and most of us do ourselves more harm than we should (in a perfect world), but I also believe that we should be entitled to poison ourselves however we wish (in a perfect world?). I think the best approach is to allow everyone on this site their own rationalizations, as delusional as they may be, and only interject if and when their drug use becomes a serious problem. If you see a guy listing the combinations of drugs he plans on ingesting that evening, and you realize that they may have serious adverse effects, politely pipe up and inform him of what may happen, and leave it at that.

asprin is worse for your body than shrooms, seriously.  sorry, buddy, but unless you want junkfood, pork, food preservatives, and pretty much everything else to be illegal, you should just quit worrying about it. everything is bad for you. life will eventually kill us all, go enjoy it or you'll hate yourself when you get old. although i personally hate tobacco and have quit for the 6th time due to feeling as if i'm getting emphazema, it should still be legal.
