Blind Melon with Shannon Hoon

I've seen very few Blind Melon posts on this forum. Are any of you serious fans? I hate searching for Blind Melon stuff now and all the stuff with the new singer pop up. The new singer sucks.

There's a new singer? I didn't know that! We like Blind Melon. But we're not like hardcore fans. We've got a couple of their songs on our playlist.

I love them, but it probably helped a lot that I got into drugs the same time I started listening. So having a band only singing about drugs/depression was pretty captivating. lol

The new singer was like a huge fan and knew all the songs perfectly from being a loser at home in his bedroom. Then they had auditions and he was hired. He tries to sound like Shannon and is so influenced he comes off as trying to act like him. It is humiliating.

i saw them in 92 before shannon kicked the bucket. they were a last minute replacement for motorhead (opening for ozzy and alice in chains).
