iPod, Apple, and Wal-Mart Drama

Some of you may remember that I was bitching about my new nano breaking a few weeks ago. I had gotten a brand-new 8 Gb Nano Video from a family member as a graduation present and got to enjoy it for about a month before it broke. Apple refused to fix it or issue a refund and I was PISSED.

Well, I bought it from Wal-Mart and spent a few weeks complaining to their customer service. I sent them the broken one and they promised to get back to me. Well, lo and behold my shock when a brand new and seemingly identical working Nano appears in the mail the other day.

I've been pretty busy and didn't have a chance to take a look at it until this morning. But the fuckers sent me the 4 Gb one instead. I called them after I saw that and they insist that I sent them a 4 Gb model so that's what they sent me. What a load of shit. And of course, I sent them the receipt and the original to get this replacement so I have no recourse.

I should have copied the receipt before I sent it, so I suppose this is my fault. But I do take some comfort in knowing that I can still consider Wal-Mart a thieving and soul-less company. Their replacing my iPod was beginning to make me question things.

Still never buy another Apple product though, after my experience with them and their customer service.

at least they gave you something, when apple wouldnt. still thats pretty fucked up, im sure they have to keep records of it.

I am happy I got something back.

I just can't believe Apple wouldn't replace it and Wal-Mart did. I hate Wal-Mart so much.

Hey at least you didn't get a jar of Prego like some people did and NO ONE would replace their $600. No joke this happened, the jar must have weighed the same as the camera.
