I wonder how (and if) the Growery will change the Shroomery.

This is exciting. For those unaware ythan posted in the WA&F forum saying the Growery would either launch at midnight tonight or at 4:20 AM or 4:20 PM tomorrow, 4/20. What kind of effect do you think this is going to have on the Shroomery, as a community? Will the Growery develop its own niches and its own regular posting community, and will those people split their time between the Shroomery and the Growery? Me, I don't have the attention span for more than one message board at a time. I'm fully committed to the Shroomery and I can't personally see myself getting to involved with the Growery.

I'm super excited!

I think the Growery will w/out a doubt be bigger than The Shroomery in a very short time.

We will be more of a niche community, which is fine.

But I can't wait to check out the Growery and see the flow of ideas as people start to post and discuss teks.

It's hard to say. I hope it does well. I'm going to register there for sure, but I'm not sure how much I'll post yet because like you said, I don't have enough time for one message board, let alone two. We'll see though.

I have to make sure that I register tomorrow though. That way, both my Shroomery and Growery accounts will be on 4/20. Yes!

Meh, there are lots of weed forums. The shroomery is such a unique collection of individuals, so I hope we don't lose a lot of people to the growery.

I think I'll still save my random everyday life posts for the pub and shroomery and only post on the growery strictly about weed.

My first post in almost a year!  Finally got my living situation figured out and my connection hooked up.  So this is news to me, I remember people mentioning the Growery some time back.  I think its a great idea!  I think if anything it will only bring more chill people to the Shroomery. 

Although there is one obvious downside to a site dedicated to growing, cops.  But we've done pretty well with the Shroomery so I can only hope the Growery brings as diligent people to it as the Shroomery did.  The vast majority of us want to avoid attention and especially police attention.  But with anything theres going to people that are too stupid to care.  But they'll eventually get weeded out, no pun intended.

So all in all, It can only mean growth and positivity to the Shroomery.  me thinks:borat:

interesting... what will happen to the mycology forums that are a part of the shroomery? I imagine they will still remain?

Good Question!

I'm sure it will develop its own unique community, along with one or two finding a more comfortable home there as opposed to this psychedelic haven.

I might pop my head in a few time here or there, as they will essentially be a brother to this site. Cross over episodes of posting are certainly possible.

This forum will always be home to me, though. It's too cool for school.

meh. I kinda like the idea of keeping the community on one webpage. Creating a divide between pot smokers and the rest of the drug users, why? for profit or what?

Why not just add another thread to this website called the growery?

I dunno. my opinions. I dont think its a wonderful idea.

The Growery is going to have 10X the traffic the Shroomery has.

Trying to put it one forum here would be absolute chaos.

That's like trying to fit the entire Shroomery community under one forum at Bluelight or something.

I think if you can have a mycology forum with tens of thousands of users and millions upon millions of posts, it stands to reason that a MJ forum along the same lines will draw many, many more.
