Conifer forest Vs. Deciduous forest!
    #8295775 -

Conny:

Deciggy:

Conifer for me. Today I took a long hike through some deciduous woods and while I enjoyed it's own beauty, I wanted to clean the fuck up. Leaves, branches, BRUSH, crazy underbrush and shit was everywhere.

Conifers IMO are at least noticeably more clean, less buggy, and way more majestic. They feel more fantasy like. More old and noble. And of course they are more shroomy.

Conifer is great when it opens up from a stretch of deciduous. There's some spots like that in MI.

I like free markets and all. Truly I do, at least in general, but there needs to be some kind of oversight in recognition of sustainability. Life works the same way, on a bunch of sustainable systems. Why not honor what made us what we are and take some lessons? Nature FTW!

Old growth deciduous forests, ftw.

Nothing like a 400 year old oak grove.

I don't know how conifer forests are more shroomy?

plenty of fungi, and even active fungi, live and breed in deciduous forests.

It's kinda silly to ask such a question in the first place.

I like them both.

Ya...deciduous forests are actually much better places to look for mushrooms IME. Far more shroomy.

Are you sure? The forests around here in Ohio are usually pretty dry. Maybe some hard stuff on trees but that's it. Could be becasue I'm in Ohio, but in the few conifer forests around here, I saw more shrooms. And it was definitely more moist.

Boreal Forest, FTW:

Cool. Clean. Fresh air. Feet of snow in the winter. Bright and full of life in the summer. But ultimately, it is the smell. The smell of a boreal forest, and in particular balsam fir trees, is the most peaceful sensation I can think of.

I think deciduous forests are more shroomy because of the shitton of mulch on the ground. I prefer them. Totally stunning in all seasons. Gotta love change.

Well out of those two pictures I pick conifer. If your talking about here in Ohio though, I'd go with deciduous, our conifer forests are boring because there are nothing on the ground but brown pine needles.
