Makes sense to me!

Hell, today we learn about "mythology", which to the ancient Greeks and Romans was a religion that they devoutly believed in. Yet we we treat their stories as fiction, and their gods and goddesses as nothing but ficticious characters. Who's to say that Christianity and the Bible will not be viewed this same way in a few hundred years?

What your saying is... perhaps in a few hundred years people might think that The stories in the lord of the rings series actually happened, and devote there life to them?
I think this will happen to the STAR WARS francise, personally...

I know a guy named SWIM, and SWIM believes that the Bible is nothing more than an immense collection of regional mythologies, which were originally created and retold over numerous generations to explain phenomena, to codify social behavior, and to support civil order.

SWIM also notes that very similar types of fables seem to spring up in almost all cultures with language and an oral tradition. This leads SWIM to believe that they are a natural part of social evolution, and exist out of utility, to enhance the survival advantage of the society in question.

SWIM thinks that the success of the works of contemporary fable-crafters like Tolkien and Lucas, rests on either a conscious, or instinctual, understanding of this hypothesis.
