There is a computer program that works with any keyboard to get tons of different sounds. Any shitty keyboard will do if you have the program.

I really like the sound of the old Moog. Good luck finding one cheap though.

You'll be lucky to find a decent analogue synth at a good price these days.. it's like trying to buy antiques.. you'll pay through the nose just for the age. However, Korg make an analogue modelling synth which basically uses electronics to simulate the analogue sound. The result is identical to an analogue synth without all the bad things that go with analogues (like the fact that they go out of tune and are notoriously difficult to program)

http://www.korg.com/gear/info.asp?A_PROD_NO=MS2000

it costs about ?460, you should check it out

There is synth called Evolver made by Dave Smith (who has developed many famous synths) that has two analog oscs and two digital. The thing is getting very positive reviews from what I have read.
