I have to be honest... I'm not too fond of humans.

human=#1

--------------------
Man is timid and apologetic; he is no longer upright; he dares not say "I think," "I am," but quotes some saint or sage. He is ashamed before the blade of grass or the blowing rose.Man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future. He cannot be happy and strong until he too lives with nature in the present, above time

It does say a bit about human nature though. Possibly thousands saw the first exhibit and not one thought to move the dish closer or let the dog go.

If I would have seen this, I would have taken the food to the dog, untied him and taken him home. And if the 'artist' or anyone there tried to stop me, I would have made it clear they needed to get out of my way before they lost a testicle.

How can you not care? I mean killing to survive, whether it's for food or self defense is one thing, but just to impress some snobbish, 'Superior Beings' is bullshit.

"we all feed on tragedy"

So painfully true. I wonder what will end up happening about this?

What ever happened to the military guy that made the video throwing puppies?

Tragic really. It's all part of the human condition though. A chronic and fatal ailment that allows us to destroy ourselves and everything else in the name of progress, profit and happiness.

It doesn't bring ANY progress. Thats my point, even if there is the perception of progress or the hope of progress than all crimes against nature can be justified in the human mind.

I've been feeling that more and more lately.

I don't know if it's because my dog has just died or because i just generally hate pointless displays of cruelty but thus really makes me sick to the stomach, and the fact that no one did anything makes it worse.
As has been said, the ARSEtist should be put through the same horrible experience as the dog. I would quite happily pay £50 to go see that.

I have no sympathy for humanity as we have the ability to know that we are doing wrong.

--------------------
God takes those closest to us, because it makes him feel better about himself. He is a very vengeful God. He's all pissed off about something we did thousands of years ago. He just can't get over it, so he doesn't care who he takes. Children, puppies, it don't matter to him, so long as it makes us sad.

Why does God give us anything?

Look at it this way: if you want to make a baby cry, first you give it a lollipop. Then you take it away. If you never give it a lollipop to begin with, it would have nothin' to cry about. That's like God, who gives us life and love and help just so that he can tear it all away and make us cry, so he can drink the sweet milk of our tears. You see, it's our tears, Stan, that give God his great power.

It's pretty awesome how no one read the second link which explains exactly what he did and why he did it. :awesome:

A single dog "starving" gets a million people attention, but a million people starving get left to die.

dubiousness
Dubious compound

it is dangerous to be right in matters on which the established authorities are wrong.
A penalty for possession of a drug/plant should not be more damaging than the drug/plant itself.

Exactly what I was about to say, did nobody actually read the story, he gave the fucking thing food and water.

"Juanita Bermúdez, director of the Codex Gallery, stated that he would not have allowed the dog to be mistreated, that it ate and drank regularly, and that it was allowed to escape back to the streets from where it was taken at the end of the exhibit. "It is conceptual art and a work that leaves a social message", he said."

Put down your pitchforks and go home
