Moved out / Wisdom teeth cut out

So I finally moved out of my parents' house monday night and into a rental house with a couple of my friends.  We got a really good deal on it too, since one of their grandma's is the one renting those houses out.  $300 month total, $100 a month per person, plus utilities.  Its pretty fuckin awesome :awesome:

AAAAAnnnnd... I got my wisdom teef cut out today.  They gave me a valium to take before I got there, and next thing I know I'm laying back in a chair and then waking up in the passenger seat.

They gave me Mepergan Fortis for the first day of pain, then another few Darvocets for after I run out of mepergan.  The mepergan knocked me the fuck out though... I was hoping for a nice opiate buzz but nope.... sleep.

I hope I like the darvocets, I never had em before

My advice is to find those things that give pleasure and do them often without too much attachment and relax and wait for the show to end.

I like free markets and all. Truly I do, at least in general, but there needs to be some kind of oversight in recognition of sustainability. Life works the same way, on a bunch of sustainable systems. Why not honor what made us what we are and take some lessons? Nature FTW!

I dont have a problem with most opiates. Its just darvocet doesnt fly with me.

The only other option they offered was hydrocodone, and I asked for it and he told me he thought I would be fine with the darvocet... :frown:

And this Mepergan Fortis (Meperidine and Promethazine) makes me so damn sleepy.  I know Meperidine is an opiate, but damn... it sure doesn't feel like it... It just makes me fall asleep...

And the new house is great, except we have no cable yet and therefor no intrawebs.  We're getting both soon though.  I'm at my parents' house now because I couldn't drive after the surgery so they had to drive me.  Which I don't mind at all because that means I can use their internet service :grin:

Everytime I go to a health specialist needing surgery, they never give me the damn drugs.
