Life is 1000x more complicated and crazy than I could have imaged when I was like 13 years old.


Lately I can barely handle it...very lost and confused.



I envy the people who seem to glide through life with only minor worries and concerns. I envy them very much.

The way people glide through life you say is bullshit. They don't. It's just too easy. It's one big game! You work, you pay bills, you fuck/go to a movie with your wife/man and somewhere down the lines he takes her out to eat. You raise a few kids and give em everything you never had by NOT SPOILING THEM.

Say what the fuck you want to say, Do what the fuck you want to do. It's really simple. Just siphon through the bullshit and go on and be happy and that's all that needs to be done.

It's a great book about a doctor who flees from Eastern Europe during the Prague spring only to return to communist oppression out of love for a woman and because life in the West turns out just as empty as life behind the Iron curtain.

It's about living life no matter what the politics of the age. It's about enjoying human companionship and not getting beaten down. They all die horribly in the end, but that's ok, they had a great party the night before.

It's probably the most Epicurean book I've read.

Sorry about that, but the plot is utterly unimportant in this book. I wouldn't have given the away the end if it mattered.

Go read Miss Marple if you want books with endings that matter. Read Milan Kundera if you want to enjoy every page equally.
Or watch the movie with Daniel Day-Lewis and Juliette Binoche. It's a faithful adaptation.
