The referee's are fucking Phoenix in the ass HARD right now in Denver and aren't even courteous enough to use lube or give a reach-around.

Ejected Bell for laughing, yes LAUGHING. Gave Amare a technical for something completely legal by NBA rules! If this is some ridiculous attempt to give Denver an edge for the playoffs it's pretty fucked.

It's the NBA, you can't take it very seriously.

It's the only (major) sport that I honestly believe has the outcomes manipulated by the league office. You just have to look at some of the officiating in the last five years during the playoffs to see that something is up.

And I'm a Bulls fan, so don't think I'm complaining because my team got bounced. It's just a fact. The referees in the NBA have waaay too much influence over the pace/outcome of the game.

It's outrageous. No wonder nobody takes that league seriously.

I think Tim Duncan got ejected last year for lol'ing from the bench. The ref who ejected him got suspended...or fined.

That's just ridiculous. I'm not a huge basketball fan and I've only been paying attention since I moved to Phoenix but tonight's game was just unreal. 46 free throws for Denver and 25 for Phoenix. Carmello Anthony alone had 5 less free throws than the entire Phoenix team.

However I'd like to add that I believe while the fights are real, judges scorecards in boxing are COMPLETELY fixed.

I had no idea the NBA referee's had that bad of a reputation though. (Except that one who got caught or whatever in that scandal... was it last year?)

Yeah, Donnehy was this year, I think.

If you do some research there are quite a few people who honestly believe the NBA is fixed.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist at all, but I believe this one.

It's just too blatant.

Not sure if I can buy that it's fixed per se', but with the intimate contact between the players/coaches and refs, I think that personal feelings play into the outcomes WAY too much.

Not to mention the fact that most refs are awful. But such is the NBA. All hail King David.

Are the refs awful, or is the game designed that way?

I'm no scholar of basketball, but couldn't they call a foul on EVERY SINGLE PLAY?

Yeah, it's very subjective.

I saw somebody last week take FOUR steps against the Nuggets (I want to say Baron Davis) My wife and I were stunned. The thing is, they played it a couple more times and just raved over how great of a "move" it was.

Yeah, basketball is a mess. Football, gulp, somewhat bores me. I used to love hockey, but I'm one of those guys who liked it back in the 80's before it became "hot" and has no clue what's happening now, so that leaves me with....

Z is fine.

This happens to him in a few games every year.

It's just cramps from dehydration.

They need to sit him down before the game and pour a gallon of water down his fucking throat.

I don't know what his fucking problem is. I've been on the Wrigley Field tour and the bathroom is literally five steps away from the dugout stairs.

He'll be fine.

Good news there. I haven't heard anything more and even though him and Lee barely touched....well, what am I doing explaining my reasons for concern to a Cubs fan??

Z is one of my all time favorite pitchers to watch :minigun:
