Anyone from Sweden?
    #8218890 -

I'm going to be in Uppsala for a few months over the summer and was wondering if anyone on here is from around there or from elsewhere in Sweden? I'd love to discuss mycology, make friends with similar interests, or just hear any advice you have before I visit another country that I've never been to. I can speak a fair amount of Swedish as well.

In Uppsala specifically? As I understand it, Uppsala is a university-town (according to Wikipedia at least), so I don't know if that would really be as true where I will be. I'm going there to take classes, so I'll probably be able to meet people around my own age fairly easily.

I used to live in Lund while attending uni. I've never heard of Uppsala. I was in Skane and no where near Stockholm. I love Sweden. Enjoy it.

The hottest chicks aren't any hotter than girls here, but there are no ugly girls. The average is way above ours, but still hard to find really hot girls. When you do!!! Wow!!!

yup, also men and women there are on average much less fat probably because they don't eat such a gluttonous american diet.

And style is very feminine there and everyone is into it. So many nicely dressed people doing everyday things. Every guy I knew had long slicked blond hair, tight designer jeans, leather jackets, the works. I was out of place. Ha
