Thanks for your words of encouragment it's hard to not be too cynical in these times but I too have faith that eventually such systems of government that oppress people in general will soon collapse as well. I don't advocate going back to the stone age persay but a better system can be developed than the one we have today.

No need to answer but who will you support this election EtheongenicPeace or do you feel that voting in general does not change the system at all? Assuming you are a U.S citizen I hope you would consider Mr.Nader he fully supports indigenous rights and self direction as well as ending the war on drugs and the war that it brings to the people.

Come on now, entheopeace. I know I'm not gonna convine you, but Obama despises the war.

Show me some evidence that he doesn't, my mind is open to new info. I'm very anti-war as well and would like to see for myself the things that have convinced you not to vote Obama.

obama is only for pulling out of Iraq, but i have a hunch he is "for" invading another country. I watched one of the debates and thats the sense i got. I also seen a lady that worked for both Clinton and obama on that comedy central news show name slipping me mind right now but, if i remember right she said both Clinton and obama are both out to get terrorists in a nutty shell

Yeah, Obama is willing to defend our country. Even from terrorists.

That's my opinion too. We should never start a war. Probably should never aide a war. Absolutely never start some kind of world conquest. But defend our country and it's citizen's, yes. Eliminate the group of people that already have attacked us, yes.

The telling sign that B-Rock doesn't want to invade other countries is his remarkably open attitude to foreign policy and his comments about meeting with our enemies, not just our allies.

Dill,

If Obama were honestly for ending our war in Iraq then why would he continue to vote for Bush's homeland security bill, why would he not rally with other Democrats to call for the impeachment of Bush? If he were truely the anti-war candidate that he claims to be he would have joined with Kucinich and Cynthia McKinney in calling for impeachment of Bush in Congress and he would have joined with Nader in rallying with the people for impeachment.

I would have been hard pressed to try and impeach a second term war criminal as well.

The people didn't rally behind impeachment and you know they didn't. HE GOT ELECTED AFTER THE IRAQ WAR. That's the biggest piece of evidence against your claim.

The congress does reserve the right to impeach, but why join in something that has little popular support? All it would do is give the republicans a chance to say he's a left-wing nutjob that called for Bush's impeachment. I do't think his non-impeachment stance really speaks to his view that war/killing is bad.

That's taking it a little too far.

With 2/3 of Americans against the war in Iraq you honestly do not believe that there would be popular support for impeachment if the leading members of the Democrats actually decided to make it an issue? This man has a 31% approval rating of his handling of the Iraq war and as you stated he is a second term war criminal, someone like this should be the easiest type of president to impeach. Besides like I said he and other Democrats could put up more of a fight when it comes to homeland secrurity budgets and the various acts that infringe on our rights.

This is the problem with the Democrats since taking over the Congress in 06 they have continued to tap dance around this issue and have showed nearly no back bone when it coems to standing up against the continuation U.S Imperialism abroad. I have given you the reasons why Obama is not the best anti-war candidate and if you disagree that's fine you can elect someone that will continue the status quo for the the Democrats and Republicans.

Impeachment requires clear evidence that the President broke the law. Can't blame most Democrats for actually knowing that.

Impeachment aside there is still a lot more that the Democrats could have and still could do to stall this President on a variety of issues. Basically the Democrats have caved and haven't even seriously explored the possibility to any extent.

Yes. I'm asking you to show me what makes you think Obama is gonna continue the status quo.

Your response was that you've given the reasons. Well I want you to back up your opinions with fact/references. Then I can use my own brain to come to a more informed conclusion.;)

So voting for Bush's homeland security budget isn't enough or how about excepting corporate donations in general?Obama has recieved funding from the Nuclear industry for his Senate campaign and Presidential campaign. I will take the time to find refrences for you if you insist but I must take off for now.

Ok. Cool. I really am interested, I hope you don't forget.

I'm all about the nuclear power industry though. I'm young and optimistic because I didn't live through any nuclear crisis like 3 mile island or chernobyl.

Nuclear power, in the form of fusion, is where it's at. I just hope that fusion is finally managed in a controlled setting so we can use it properly.

Nuclear power is awesome.

I can't understand why people are against it.

It's the best option we have.

Do people really think in 100 years we won't be able to get rid of this nuclear waste?
