Do yourself a favor and see them live if you ever get the chance.
Even though some of them are getting old it's still a good show, and Clinton is an entertaining guy to watch.

ive seen some of their shows on tv, and i loved em b4 now, im just exploring their sounds more. i cant believe they still jam. and age has no bearing on my judgement. these guys were pioneers. theyre legends. now im gonna have to find out id theyre comin to TX this year.

so it is two different bands. Funkadelic is one. and Parliment is another(which George Clinton is vocals) so i guess like you said they worked together a lil, and did eachothers stuff. either way good vibes


Always seemed to me that Parliament was more into the far-out psychedelic aspect of their music and storytelling, while Funkadelic focused more on the laying down raw funk. George Clinton led both bands, and I'm pretty sure members from Funkadelic did work with Parliament and vice-versa.

These days you can see a rotating cast of current and former P-Funk members touring as "The 420 Funk Mob". They played out here last summer, but I couldn't make it to see them. Disappointing since Clinton was going to be joining them for those shows.

Vai is good.. though his style isn't really my cup of tea. I do like Passion and Warfare though.

But think about it... Vai took guitar lessons from Satriani way back in the day.
