Easy as pie dude. Go work at fast food or something for a transition to get out of a shithole like that, seriously that is complete crap. Call the health department or whatever agency that deals with food safety and get them to come in at a busy time. Be there when they come in with some of your own photos (if you can get them) and some notes pointing out obvious issues, and a big old smile for that bitch when she sees whats going on.

If your not BS bout the old meat in the trash thing and the other shit that is seriously fucked up and you seriously owe the general public a phone call to the health inspector. Your just lucky you can see what your food looks like, other people aren't, just think of that.

@ this point you are morally obligated to stop them from potentially poisoning people. I ran a kitchen for a year and all the employee's had to watch this video that was put together by a guy that owned 40 brays hamburgers ( i think) .. anyways one of his reastaurants didnt practice basic saftey protocals and gave some little 5 y old boy salmonilla poisoning. His parents videotaped his painfull, bloody, vomit filled death and gave the footage to their lawyer and to the owner of the company. I think watching that would make me want to kill myself if i was that guy.

Anyway, you could fuck some peoples lives up. I hope your not ok with that. I want you to know that your talking about somthing more serious than a 24 case of food poisoning.

The Stanford prison study is brilliant. I see people acting this way at work myself. Its disgustingly facsinating. cut one of her car tires on the way in tomorow, for me

Def. report the damn place and not only can you feel good about getting some revenge, but also that you are helping teh fucking poor customers not get sick as often.  Food poising is fucking HORRID.

Also: unless you can surely float fine for money, find a new job while you are still working, but as it gets closer to getting that new job, and more and more sure, feel free to cut back a little bit on your labor effort at the curent place.  Not enough to get fired (as you still dont 100% have the new job) but enough to def cause some minor annoyance and frustration.

^^^thats the best idea.  Imagine how easy going work will be when every demand that comes out of your bosses mouth has no effect on you.  Its like getting paid to sabotage your own employment.

Don't take any shit from the lady. She is only treating you that way because you are nice and let her.

Next time she says something out of place to you, try giving her a "look". Not just any look, one of those crazy looks where you contort your face all wierd.

Also, don't go back there.

:lol:Thanks you guys. Some of your responses made me laugh a lot.

I ended up going in and not only was it the busiest day of the week, it was the record sales day in the history of the company. Predictably, my boss freaked out, and she yelled at me and a couple other employees several times, and at one point she hit me in the shoulder with a measuring cup (claiming she was trying to pass it to me). All in all a crappy day. Then, after work she came up to me and the new guy (we were sweeping up front) and she told us we were doing really well and she appreciated all of our hard work. Then she says, "let's all sit down and have a chat, I'll make us some sandwiches and get some beer from the cooler." It was so weird, we all just sat around and drank (crappy) beer and ate (crappy) sandwiches and she was totally pleasant. My theory is that she recognizes how close to quitting we all are, and she wanted to delay it. Fat chance.

So I dropped some resumes off at a few places after work on Sunday, then again after my uneventful shift yesterday (the boss was home sick, so it was actually a lot of fun--most of my coworkers are pretty cool) and I've decided that today was my last day. I've got the next three days booked off, so I've got lots of time to find a solid new job, and I don't even have to skip work for it. Plus, I can screw them over for next Sunday!

Oh and also, she fired two people yesterday because she now had me and the guy she hired last week. Little does she know that I won't be there much longer, and he's already ready to walk out. Woo!

This reminds me of the one and a half weeks I spent at mcdonalds when I was 15. We would keep reheating hamburgers for days sometimes (especially the specialty items like the mcfish or whatever).

Work at your own pace and call her out when she yells at you for not working fast enough. Tell her that you respond best when simply told a mistake (the way you describe her makes her come across as extremely anxious). If you're trying, you should be able to keep the high ground on this struggle. When the customers are lining up, it's not your fault, they need to hire more people.

Also, absolutely refuse to cross health standards. If she fires you for that, you have a lawsuit available. Moldy tomatoes? It's her fault for letting them get that way and she's afraid of the hammer that will come down on her.

If her food cost is more important to her than public safety, then she doesn't need to be in the business.

Again, call the health dept.
