How DO Women Wear Tampons?

How do those little buggers work, they come in these white plastic silver bullet type papers. The things always weirded me out too much to actually hold one and figure out how the bugger worked. I know when the games over you pull the string out, but how do you go about gettin that cotton stick up the shoot without it bending and gettin crumpled.

Wow I never knew that if wear a tampon for more than 8 hours you can die of Toxic Shock Syndrome :eek:

ya i was told recently if a girl falls asleep with it still in it can fuse to the vagina, you need surgery to remove it

If it has an applicator, mad easy. You poke it up in there, and press the little tube. It pushes the tampon in. If there's no applicator, you just have to put it in like you would a suppository or something like that. Just poke it in with a finger.

ya those applicator are a waste
i new this gurl who was against wasting things, she would reuse bags at the supermarket
anyways she would never buy tampons with the applicator cuz they are useless and jus fill up our landfills

THey are a hell of alot easier to insert with an applicator. After they are in they will swell a little, that's how they stay in.

TSS (toxic shock syndrome) is for real, knew someone who had it. The fusing to the vagina walls , I think that's a myth.

Rarely one will get lost in there. Bad news.

I hope that was a joke. Because I laughed so hard.

To the OP: Tampons come inside of a little plunger thingy that you stick up inside your vag. Then you push the end of the plunger in and it slides the tampon in. There is a brand of tampon that doesn't come with a plunger thing, and for those you just shove em up there....but they are small and shaped like a little bullet, and they are very compressed so they're not going to bend.

God, this thread is ridiculous...

Alot of women are suprisingly squeemish about puttin their fingers into their vagina to fish for a tampon that has disapeared. Some foolish folks will just stick another one up in there

And some will forget about it if the tampon string isn't visible or they don't feel it. By the time they develop a terrible odor and pain, its been their for several days.


It's really not all that uncommon for a woman to come into the E.R. w/ some funky tampon in there they didn't know about or couldn't get out.


It's less common, but some will come into the E.R. w/ crack or money up the 'ol purse... usually discovered via xray w/ the drugs
