Shipping Unrooted Cuttings

Im wondering if anyone has ever bought unrooted cuttings and if theyve made it through the mail? This shipping would be same state and I might pay extra for overnight, plant would be khat(ive read it roots easily). Im just wanting to see what experiences people have had with mailing unrooted plant cuttings. Ive also read somehwere that air can get into the feeding tube, and clog up the plant and kill it, this is if you dont stick the plant into water before planting it. this is what id be worried about with unrooted cuttings.

are you in the US? if so it would be best to order seeds as theyre not specifically illegal

Would an unrooted cutting be able to stay alive that long? Any chance you have a method for sending unrooted cuttings?

Im thinking something like plastic wrap with something like peat inside and tape that to the bottom of the cutting.

An unrooted cutting carefully wrapped with a damp paper towel around it's stem will be good for a few days at least. To root it, put a couple inches of the stem into damp soil or soiless mixture and put a clear dome or plastic wrap over the top to minimize evaporation. I use a 2 or 3 liter clear soft drink bottle with the bottom cut out. If you keep the cap on it's mostly stopping evaporation. If you take the cap off, it gives it a little ventilation. Leave the cap on for a week or two or until you see growth. When you see definite growth then take the dome off. Get them used to light and they will do fine in direct sunlight but very low light levels until they are rooted.
