Yah you know you guys are rushing to defend yourselves when honestly I could give a shit less if you want to get your animals high or not. This guy wanted my opinion and I gave it. I do not think it is ethical to get another other living creature, human or not, high because I do not have access to that creature's subjective experiences on a substance that is potentially harmful.

When I say potentially harmful I am speaking at least from my own experience with marijuana which produces adverse side effects for me after I inhale it.

I'm not trying to start shit or anything, but to say that I can't tell if my dog likes it or not is just bullshit. Animals can very much display emotions.

absolutely animals can display emotions, however I do not think that they are capable of displaying emotions on the level that humans are capable of.

I am not trying to defend myself
I have never tried to force any animal to have a mind altering experience
I only speak of accidental occurrences and I do not think you are judging anyone

im not. I eat animals on a daily basis, maybe even on an hourly basis. I guess that is much worse than getting them high. Only if you do both are you truly an evil person

yes animals can display emotions such as happiness. i've seen plenty of dogs get stoned and run around and play, have huge smiles on their face, etc. it's mostly about the vibes of the user.

and yes it's abuse to force them, which i've seen also, and that can leave them traumatized.

That dog has no idea what marijuana is and what its doing to him or why. All he/she knows is that when you blow the smoke in his face, it changes the way he feels for a while.

how do you know what a dog thinks and feels?

I didnt say I know what a dog thinks and feels. Bottom line, a dog does not know what marijuana is, ho it works or why it works. Not the way you and I do. The dog doesnt have conceptual knowledge man. He understands you because of body language and the tone and pitch of your voice. Think of Pavlov's dogs.

I think in some instances, it can be abuse. I've heard of people putting pets into small boxes and blowing smoke into it. As long as the animal can freely leave, I think it's fine. I never blow smoke DIRECTLY into my cats face, but I'll puff it around him and let him get a whiff if he likes.

most useless research ever. that was worse that video where they sewed cats eyelids shut to observe the effects of isolation on behavior.
