co2 tablets from pet store

I just recently started filling some 5 gallon water dispenser bottles and throwing in some Co2 tabs then watering my plants.. They are supposed to help out with co2 levels in aquariums where plants may have a hard time living. Has anyone ever tried this? think it'll benefit my plants? What other kind of enhancements can i do to the water for my plants?

molasses has many micronutrients that most regular nutes dont feed them like calcium, as well as your typical phos and potassium, as well as sugars and nutrients required by beneficial soil microrganisms.

those pills might work ok if the co2 makes it up to the leafs.

the leafs only breath co2, and the roots only breathe oxygen, which makes me wonder if co2 would choke the roots out. many plants who get a dose of co2 to the roots tend to have trouble absorbing nutrients properly.

you should try h202 (hydrogen peroxide), the extra oxygen breaks off in the soil and is absorbed by the roots, and the remaining h202 turns into h20 (water). but it kills many microorganisms in the process, so dont use after the first month or so.

roots only breath oxygen, leafs only breath co2. the opposites choke each other. its much different in a fish tank or with underwater plants, the leafs are in the water.
