camera, nikon D50 with 50mm 1.8 D.

It took me 2 days on and off to make, i think..., i ate nothing but eggo's, jello, and dry cinnamon toast crunch. It wouldn't have turned out as cool, had i not been stoned the entire time, and made some "happy little accidents" as bob ross would say.

i think this is my favourite one by you so far! it's extremely beautiful, i love the contrast of the two different types of wood.

And yeah, thats a cap for the bowl, my old pipe had a cap, and ever since then i can't go non-cap, it's just SO much better.

Wood taste is variable, sometimes my pipes taste great, sometimes not so much, but mostly i get good comments from users. After a while you get a layer of carbon on the inside of the bowl, so the taste changes, with good smoking material you can build up a great taste.

That piece is gorgeous! Please *do* give up trade secrets! The more people making pieces like this, the merrier.

I too am very interested in how you worked the wood like that. I get so bored of these ugly glass pipes I see on here, it's nice to see a thing of beauty for a change. I went back and looked at all your old pipe posts, and I must say I think this is your finest work yet.

just a guess, but it looks like there is a seam in the middle of the stem (2 pieces). very nice pipe btw!

The stem is two pieces, one half has a square groove cut into it. I use a drill press to hold a cutting bit at the right depth, then slowly make the curved groove. It's necessary to use the drill press, or else your groove will be all over the place, i have done it with a Dremel before, but the rough sides won't pass a pipe cleaner. With the drill press you get perfectly smooth bends, so you can stick a cleaner down there.

and yea i find pot pipes in general can be pretty boring, with the exception of some fine high quality glass. I think pot is becoming too commercialized, headshops are filled with mass produced pieces of garbage (mostly). I mean, where are the sweet pipes for nigguhs who keep it fuckin' real?! for stoners who desire quality!

Sioux indians had it right, they knew how to keep it real, a pipe is a companion, it holds the essence (or perhaps just saliva) of everyone who has smoked from it. And when you smoke from it, the ritual continues, forever enhancing the feel of the pipe.

A 10$ glass spoon can be your perfect mate, but i just like something a little different.

Hopefully once i get some more designs done i'll put them up for sale, i'll make sure to let the shroomery know first!
