Concert tickets...best thing to spend money on.
    #8085285 -

I just bought a ticket for Rothbury Festival in Michigan July 4th weekend.

And in 66 minutes, tickets on sale for two nights of Radiohead here in NYC...I'm gonna have to get a ticket to each night. :dancing:

I'm looking forward to Bob Weir at the Beacon in April, Allman Brothers In May, Gathering of the Vibes, and whatever else pops up. Maybe bonnaroo if i can somehow get a free or discounted ticket but not sure how i feel about it, theres still plenty of groups i'd like to see but it's a way different vibe now. I love experiencing music, it's very, very, good... peace

I wanna see if there's any floyd tributes or laser light shows... be really interesting.

I hate being broke. So many good shows, so much money I don't have.

Yeah you should definitely catch that show - he recently said when he performs DSOTM in England at the end of May it will be for the last time. He's retiring the show. So anyone going to Coachella should definitely catch it. It's one hell of a spectacle.

DSOTM is my favorite album from any band. Does Radiohead have a good live show?

And how...I've seen em a ton of times...they've got a great light show, and they mix it up a lot for their shows, reworking songs for the live setting so you're not just hearing the songs played exactly like they are on the album. Plus - they play 23-25 songs usually.

Yah, I know, and it was a Christian concert that I saw with my church at age 13!

I don't know enough about modern music to know who to pay money to see.

That's pretty cool...I've never heard Explosions in the Sky but I've heard them referenced many times here on the Shroomery. I am planning to go to a few larger festivals this summer, so who knows, maybe I'll find a band I really like.

moth.. you've got to hit up one of the summer fests in the NE this year..

Mountain Jam or Bisco or something..

i'd suggest Mountain Jam, for sure.. a lot of good bands playing this year and it's not that far from you.

First festivals are a fairly life changing experience, imo.

I agree!

The only thing people want to do around here is go to the casino. I'm always like "Sorry, I don't want to throw my money away." and their argument is ALWAYS "Well, you're not throwing it away, you're having a good time at the casino!" No, motherfucker. If I want to drop $40-75 on a "good time" it's going to be for a concert... not watching white trash drop their SSI checks in a machine.

Man I need to see what cool concerts (if any) are coming through town.
