Server space isn't free, paid admins aren't free (kind of a tautology, but I feel the need to point it out), and sponsors don't pay if the banners get blocked.

Do you have a better solution to keep the site running? Are banners really a detriment to your time here? Where does the greed really come in here?

Unless of course you aren't being sarcastic. If someone was making a significant ammount of money running this site, I would see that as the best kind of greediness. If someone can figure out how to financially sustain themselves while providing a service that's severely useful and fundamentally free, so what? Far from the banners, and system of sponsorships being off putting or overly capitalist, this site supports the best possible incarnation of capitalism, as the community size allows for these sponsors to be screened and reported on, thereby adding a layer of accountability you wouldn't get without the symbiotic relationship.

Then, yes, this is the best kind of greediness. Via someone else's want for money, I have access to a massive database of communally edited and archived knowledge, and a list of reputable, trusted vendors with something to risk should they offend or mistreat even a few members of the community.

I could disable adblock plus for the main site (I do for the forums) and then hopefully that message will go away. I hope it'll pick up on that.

For hours at a time he'd be subjected to this torture, and when it was all over he was so crippled as a human being from the agony of all those 470x60 blinking strips that he ordered some filter patch bags and a ten pack of Amazonian syringes that he got a pretty good deal on.

I didn't read most of that bile of yours, noob. But yes, if the shroomery continues to degrade in favour of making more money, it's going to lose big time in a long run. It will slowly turn into another 4chan, because all the coherent people will leave, one by one, and be replaced by the likes of you.
