Cable Internet Cable Television

Right now my house is getting free cable. I moved into this house around four months ago, so I assume the person that was here before me set up something to get free cable tv.

Anyways my question. Would I lose my cable television if I ordered up some cable internet? More importantly could I get in any sort of trouble.

If so how can I stop getting free cable?

Ha... ya it sounds stupid. But I'd really like to get internet in my house. And I don't want to get charged for some piracy set up that I don't know about. I don't have any problem with getting free cable, I've been getting it for the past four months, I just want to get the internet.

hook up a cable modem to it you may have free cable internet allready
if not I would go with verizon DSL its allmost as fast and is like 20 bucks cheaper and youll still have free cable

I work in the cable industry and can tell you that most cable company's wont disconnect a home for months, they often report them as active as long as possible.
Now, if you order internet they will put a filter or trap on @ the tap outside to stop everything but the internet.
So yes you will lose it.
On the other hand most of them are offering deals for cable, phone and internet for under 100.00 a month.
Id pay that for my high speed connection alone.
