it grows wild out here, very pretty in bloom but thorns everywhere


we also get passion flower everywhere but we call them maypops, the fruit is edible

Yeah, its all over the southwestern deserts also. Its a pretty hardy plant too. When everything else has died off during a drought it will still be green and flowering. And I often see huge bushes of it alongside the freeway nearly as big as a car.

Awesome photos! Datura and Brugmansia are 2 of my favorite plants (not because of their effects either). They grow like wildfire around here too!

The flowers smell so gooood :sun:

Spring time is finally comin around, it's been such a LONG!!! HARD!!! COLD!!! Winter!

the ones that grow wildly around here, often referred to as jimson weed, have a distinct foul bitter cat piss quality of an aroma.

doubtful. maybe cat piss isnt quite the word im looking for, its been a while since i put my nose up to some. but unpleasant for sure. pungent, bitter, cat piss... all come to mind. if i think of a better word to describe it, ill let ya know. in now way did i find the smell appealing though.
