best song intros

i heard this song on the classic rock station today with an intro that just blew me away. started out with a single guitar note...very eerie..followed by a quick succession of 3 notes. this repeated for about a minute until the main chorus kicked in, totally changing pace. i though it was by the doors at first, but i've dug through their shit and can't still can't find the song!
anyways...done ranting...what are some songs with just killer intros? maybe if enough people reply i'll find my song
i'll start it out with (Tool - Third Eye)

Shine on You Crazy Diamond hands down
I love songs with long crazy intros... Actually, a song's length usually corresponds pretty well to how much I like it.

yeah that's definately true man. kind of like the "don't judge a book by its cover" saying. if the song doesn't catch me in the first 20 seconds, it's out.

I meant the longer the song is the more I like it generally. The first 20 seconds could be noise... as long as it gets into it at some point!

My favorite lately is definately Phish - Story of the Ghost The intro is so trippy is ridiculous.

During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to complacency; From complacency to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.

An epic intro. And at 2 1/2 minutes long it is more then a third of the entire song!

I love the intro to Pink Floyd's Sheep off of the Animals album. I would post the track here but it's over 10 mb so I can't without cutting out part of the song, which I am not going to do. Lovely piano intro by Rick Wright and a consistent bass line intro by Roger Waters. Sheep noises in the background. I love it!
Oh, here it is on youtube.
Also by Floyd, Careful With That Axe Eugene off of the Ummagumma live album has a fabulous intro that explodes about three minutes into the song with some of the most insanely wonderful yells and screams that I have ever heard by Roger Waters.

Slayer - Divine Intervention
edit: hey b0red5tiff (candymaster!) I like the way you think. Slayer has some awsome lead-ins to many songs.

Some of my favorite song intros are from Lamb of god :
11th hour
hourglass
Laid to rest
This isn't an intro but at the 2:22 minute mark in the song peace of mind from Boston till 2:47 is one of the best sounding musical pieces ever.
