    #8048834 - 02/20/08 07:36 PM (15 years, 11 months ago)

It was kind of beat up, I did not buy it but I did hide it behind some bags of soil just incase it is something special I can go back tommorow and purchase it
It has 7 ribs but two came together near the bottom and made one. Any luck?

looks like cereus peruvianus to me but if you would like to look through some pictures go to columnar-cacti.org
This should help you with Identifying some of your columnar cactus species.

That cactus is a cereus of some type. the spines are too short to be cereus peruvianus, which is what I own.

That is also a monstrosed form..thats why its twisted. Badass find! even if not active, itll be cool to grow monstrosed clones

what are the most informal characteristics for identifying cactus?

because everything besides the depth of the ribs look identical to my san pedro. even the spines are identical.
