cool mist humidifer. question

ok im thinkin bout gettin it. the only one i can find is the new model of it for 32 at walmart. they dont have the v400. on this new model tho half the whole top is the main output. so my question is: if i had a big enough terrarium could i just put the bastard in there or would that not work. please help me if you can.
