Got my opening day Rockies tickets in the mail today. I'm so excited for this. The tickets sold out in minutes. 50,000+. It's gonna be absolute mayhem in downtown Denver on April 4th.
It better not fuckin' snow.

Yeah, the only problem with the Rox doing so well is that it's now gonna be a pain to go see any game. It was nice to have a chill night at the park. Although if they start off like crap, it'll be half empty again quickly. But I have good vibes about them this year.
Have fun.

One of the (many) great things about baseball is the sheer number of contests in any given season.
You are guaranteed to get tickets to for some game at some time.
I'm a Cubs fan and Wrigley is sold out every single game. But tickets are still pretty easy to get at or under face value.
Learn the ins and outs of ticket scalping. It's ridiculously easy to get good tickets that way.

Yankee games on the weekend are a dream long gone. Unless you know somebody and I don't. My daughter is quite bummed.

You lie.
I was on stubhub.com last night pricing tickets last night for a Yankee's game on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday in September. Tier tickets could be had for $45 and the level above that for $11. If you spent $80 you could have what from the pictures looked like pretty decent seats.
But that stadium looks huge compared to Wrigley, at least from the seating chart. So I don't know how good any of the seats are. There really aren't any bad seats at Wrigley at all.

Every time I checked out stubhub it was a complete hosing. I'd rather take my chances with the street entrepreneurs.

The only game sold out so far is the opener...
You can still get tickets for $4 which is pretty awesome for poorer people.

Hmmm, that's good to know. I am SO impressed with the actions of the Rockies front office this off season I could almost cry. For what Tulo's getting, even if he hits .220 (he won't) it's a steal for his D and what he brings to the team. The 2 years for Halliday will be a perfect time frame to see if he's worth the huge dollars long term or not, and a couple of other minors moves made me smile.
That PLUS the Cubs got Fukedome (sp)!!!
I couldn't be much more juiced for the upcoming year!!

I have bought tickets from them literally dozens of times and have never had a problem.

Going to Rays games is fun, tickets are less than a water and hot dog Also if you go up top with the crazy racist white trash you get a show and the beer guys don't bother IDing.

Five more days until Rockies opener! A majority of the office I work in is going as well, so everyone gets a half-day Friday.
I'm finding it hard to concentrate on school this coming week. Having just finished spring break won't help either...
