STS9 Congress theatre, Chicago.

Originally wanted to go see dj shadow but was sold out, a friend suggested to check out "sound tribe kids". He made it sound like its just going to be a light show, not a biggie. I never heard of them but i was going to chicago anyways so we got the tickets. 5 of us fri. morning rent a car and head out.

As we enter downtown chi town, we all drop acid. Park. Walk in congress theatre. At this point i knew that this is not just a small event this is going to be huge. Opening up for STS9 was this mad leet beat boxer, very holy. my boy and i looked at each other and we knew that we didnt know wtf we got into.

Time for STS9, as soon as the beats started blasting from the speakers all the kids run to the middle, everyone is lighting up blunts, joints. I did not know this was kron smoke 2008. The smell of the best bud all around me, peaking on acid, mad good beats by these artists, congress theater is a unique place, so much more than i thought. I really recommend seeing Sound Tribe Sector 9, sts9 kids get down for sure.

im so happy i experienced this, and this was my first time in chicago. tripping and chicago with yo crew is like bread and butter. Will be there next weekend to see Diplo.

anybody from chi should come hang at smart bar next fri, diplo is very talented.

im still processing my experience.

Glad you got to see the boys in Chicago. that setlist looked sick! Also, a good friend of mine and member here, Krishna, was there. Tribe knows how to throw down. That's for sure.

yea, some of my friends went on a three day run starting thursday.  i wish i could've gone, but i have more responsibilities than they do, so :ohwell:

i've only seen them three times, but i love getting down while they blow us away

Just about every band that I have went to see has jackasses in the crowd. It's not just sector 9. They do love their molly, though. I'm not going to lie, I love it too.:grin: Nothing wrong with that. Moderation is key.
