My one hangup with the whole scientology story.

ok so i guess i can deal with the soul catchers and intergalactic villians part of the story, i guess its not going too far as far as religious beliefs goes, but why the fuck would hubbard specifically describe the vehicles they came in as being dc-8s? i mean, thats just a dead bullshit flag giveaway right there. he could of at least said they came in saucers or spaceships but dc-8s? how the fuck are you gonna travel across galaxies in a fucking dc-8 with rocket engines....?


and people STILL believe in this shit despite that one obvious red flag.

Yeah. Christianity has some pretty far out stuff as well.

eh, I find it the idea that jesus was a mushroom, or at least used mushrooms way more realistic than dc8's.

But Wasn't Al Hubbard the founder of Scientology also once called the johnny appleseed of lsd?

EDIT: on further research Al M. Hubbard was the Johnny appleseed of LSD,Al Ron Hubbard was the father of scientology or whatever.

I think people more believe in Scientology for the soul audits and figuring out a path to happiness. Some of that stuff is at least mildly acceptable as a path to enlightenment and freedom.

I don't buy into any of it, but I can see how a lot of people would. I think most of them completely shut out the whole Xenu part of it.
