Humboldt County

Got my acceptance letter from Humboldt State University yesterday. Anyone go to the university, live in the county, or been there? Just looking for some opinions of the area. Other then the infamous marijuana tales about Humboldt county I really don't know to much about it. I'm sure finding a sack isn't to hard, but is it worth living up there?

My other options are ASU (Arizona State University) and UH (University of Hawaii). Those are only colleges I have received acceptance letters from other then Humboldt.

Humboldt is cool, its a beautiful area. Humboldt state is a cool eco friendly college. It is a marijuana culuture so you'll find cool stuff to do.

Humboldt is reeaaally beautiful. The weather is nice for the most part, and I've met a lot of friendly people there. And of course the amount of QUALITY weed in Humboldt is a dream. Never been to the college though. What are you studying?

I've been thinking of going to Hawaii University at Manoa Valley but I've been reading that Oahu is one of the least cool areas to live in Hawaii. But they have particular classes that I'm interested in, that other schools don't have. I'm gonna keep looking into it though...

Well thats a good thing.  :grin:

Actually I used to live in Hawaii.  I specifically lived in Manoa when I was age 5-11 about two blocks from the University, then I moved to So. Cal in 2001.  The campus is really beautiful and so is the area.  As far as living on Hawaii, I'd say Oahu would be the best place to live.  The other islands have literally <25,000 people on it and there is nothing to do.  It is the only island that has a big city if you need it, and a large country side to it.  Maui would be next best, but the only other campus is on the Big island.

Im planning on studying international business.  University of Hawaii is like top 20 in country for the business field.  What classes are you thinking of taking?
