Yeah, it gets pretty fucking hectic once you get near the million mark.

I don't know what tips I can give you.  What I usually do is when it gets a little bit too crowded, let the shapes all get sucked in to those black hole things.  That eliminates a lot of the enemies but it also sends those little circle bitches after you.  They aren't that tough.  All you got to do is keep moving and shooting them.

The longer you kill the shapes without dying the better your multiplier gets, which in turn gets you more points, so be sure to use your bombs in emergencies.

Those little tiny purple things that flock towards the center like little electric hairs out of each corner are probably the hardest. What you got to do is break a hole with your bullets and fly right through. It's kind of difficult but it gets better with practice.

My last tip would be to just keep shooting.  They should make a two player that would be sick.

imo UT3 is pretty crappy. i stopped playing it 2 days after i bought it, and went right back to COD4. the online play can't be compared, and the single player campaign is weak, it's just you VS bots. pretty lame. the game is just UT2 (or UT1 for that matter) with a makeover.

save your $.

They do have a multiplayer version, for the Wii.

I play on Xbox360 tho. I haven't played in a long time, but my high score was around 1,400,000. I'm sure if I buckled down and started playing again I could beat it, but I got kinda tired of the game.

The version that was included on PGR2 or whatever, the classic Geom Wars, I rocked insanely. Had high scores approaching the 10 mill mark.

The new Geom Wars I have for the Wii, and it's impossible to just give you one single high score, as you move from planet to planet, getting high scores on each different planet. Some of the scores require around 20 million just for a bronze medal, with gold being 150 million.

It's a very fun game and the best approach I have with the original version is to stay near the bottom, strafing back and forth shooting upwards, with occasional blasts to the side to block anything coming out of the lower corners. If you get swamped, either use a bomb, or make a quick dash into the center of the screen and circle back towards the bottom, blasting upward as everything is following you back down.

For the new version, it seems that movement is the best method. Always moving, and utilizing your little helper ship. Picking the right helper on the right level is the only way to get gold on some of them.
