use less energy for incubation

i know many people prefer using incubators, i know i do. ive made several, and many different types work well. if you use a fish tank heater you lose lots of heat, so many people put blankets around theirs which is good, but ive turned my heater down probably 25-30% after using nothing but a space blanket wrapped around the incubator. i know im getting only about 1$ a month in savings, but im sure the heater will last longer and work efficiently longer as opposed to continuously having to maintain a heat battle. i know this isnt really a full tek, but i wanted to share it with you all.

How about not using an incubator at all, since they are not needed at all.
If you birth every week, you will harvest every week, regardless of whether your jars are at 60 or 80, with no additional electricity, risk, and hassle.
If you closet in your bedroom is too cold, then you need to close the window in the winter!
Just MHO.

Yeah it's better to not use anything at all compared to using a heating blanket. Heated blankets cause alot of fires every year.

Room temp works fine... no need to incubate... it just speeds colonization... that is all.

I decided to set up my incubator again and it caused bad condensation inside the jars and ended up causing more problems than it solved. When I let things colonize at room temps they look great.

Yeah ive been letting my jars colonize at room temp about 70-75 and they colonize just as fast as in an incubator from what I can tell.
