I remember the Side Scrollers before Duke Nukem 3D, and I would play the hell out of Duke 3d even downloaded homemade levels off the internet. Then they announced Duke Nukem Forever and it has become the longest in development of any game ever. They keep delaying it and have finally just said they will get it done when they get it done.

I would estimate that they are closing in on getting it finished at some point fairly soon, within a year and a half.

They basically have redone the game a number of times.

I just today saw the trailer from 1998, it would have been a cool game if released that way then.

They had a trailer from 2001 which was really cool.

The technology is here to make this the best it could possibly be. If they spend another 3 years developing it it will likely need to even more revamping to bring it up to speed, and i think they need to just get it out while the getting is good.

Man. This game has been in the works for SO long...

The first two were great for their time. AND they were shareware!

Duke Nukem 3D was the best shooter ever... until the original Half Life was released... and the funniest shooter ever until Portal was released THIS year.

They only need to get the humor right.

IF this game ever comes out... I'll be there.

I have a hunch we'll be hearing a LOT about it this year. They have to release something soon, or all the fans will have gray hair, and kids of their own.

Duke Nukem Taking Forever better not take until 2009 to make. If they aren't getting pretty close to done by now then I seriously can't even imagine what it will take to release this game. Do they want to port it to the Playstation 5? :rofl:
