Hexen II? I remember Hexen but there was a Hexen 2? Badass!!

I wish I could get all my old favorite dos games back and put them on my computer. I tried to run a dos game in dosbox but I couldn't mount the game right. It was 'Terminal Velocity'; it was pretty hard to find, and I didn't get a good copy. I kind of gave up on dos games after that.

are you running a front end program for dos box?  Makes it a lot easier to mount and play games, turns the text interface into a GUI so all you have to do is put in file locations and click a button, saves all your settings too so you only have to put the files in once and then you can just double click to launch the game.

I loved all the old apogee side scrollers, ah, the days of PC shareware games.  I'd go to computer shows and come home with tons of em.  Commander keen, jazz jackrabbit, all the crazy unofficial wolf3d mods that came out, good stuff

Duke Nukem 3D was the last video game I was ever really into (I still play Ms. Pacman and Galaga if I can find a quality machine).  I even played the original 2D versions 1 & 2.  I played it in school, on null-modems, and one of the first "PC Bangs" or private network-gaming retail locations here in Los Angeles called "The Matrix".  It was next to a McDonalds.  If only I'd had more disposable income at the time, I may never have left!  It's scary how much time I spent in those alien infested lands Duke Nukem patrolled so well.  I was so excited for "Duke Nukem Forever" when I first heard about it... back in grade school!

And yet, I must admit, even after all of this R&R,  I'm still pretty fucking excited so many years later.

I used to play the sidescrollers but never really got into the 3D ones.

I remember back when Duke Nukem Forever was SUPPOSED to come out. It gradually became one of the biggest jokes in the gaming industry. I'm curious to see what they're doing with it now. (and I have to admit I'm kind of excited)

Sounds like my experience too... calling your mates organising a modem game, tying up the family phone all night  My favourite levels were Fahrenheit and the train station one..

I got together with a few mates not long ago and played an internet game for old time's sakes. There's a third-party program for starting internet games now

I guess it looks alright but I mean 3D Realms has never been on top of the game here. I love duke 3d and still play it these days. Usually when you have to wait this long for anything especially a game, it turns out to be a total fucking bust. Brings back memories of Return to Castle Wolfenstien

This game is like The Loch Ness Monster, Big Foot, and Sasquatch Combined. Everyone is ALWAYS talking about it, but nobody knows if its actual real.

If this game does actually come out, I am sure by now it cant live up to the hype. Either way I honestly lost interest like 8 years ago.

That video was an extreme let down. How about some clear video of gameplay?

Oh yea that's right, the game doesn't exist.

there was a trailer with actual gameplay maybe 5 years(or more) ago now...it dosen't surprise me that they are attempting to cash in on the hype finally

the graphics are far beyond what they were in the earlier trailer(which actually looked pretty good)

Oh i think i read that wrong. I thought he was comparing doom 3 to duke nukem forever since both were in production for nearly a decade and that he meant doom 3's graphic weren't good when they came out for the same reason. The graphics do look like doom 3's I guess.

Also 3dRealms have run out of Ash quotes so their new lines are gonna be shit.
