Clean Shroomery Forums Mushroom Cultivation

Who agrees mods should shutdown shroomery for a week and just go through posts and put all the answers people wrote in 1 forum thread...then cancel out the ones that are just bullshit and keep the ones that are true...because theres like 100's of same threads in shroomery which is really unessasuary

A week?! What are you nuts! That would take a hell of a lot more time than a week. This is a community of sharing. We have teks up for those write ups that have proven results, but the rest of the forum is for Q&A.

We do try and remove redundant threads when we can, but every situation is unique. Since we don't all have the tools or expertise to produce the same results, we have to allow room for people to ask questions that may be specific to their own grow, regardless of how familiar it is.

Remember, this community is active. We are not a static site with a bunch of posted information. There is also the problem of environmental change. I have great success using spawn bags, but there are countless others who have failure rates approaching 90% using this method. This is directly due to the environmental differences in their methods. We need to be able to help everyone, not just the elite or noobs, everyone.

Unfortunately, that means we have to answer redundant questions. We also have a duty to detour newer folks to using the search feature and using our FAQ so that they can help themselves. Your request, while noble, is just not feasible.

Sorry I don't agree with the idea either, It would take way longer than a week because A. Only mods would do the actual cleaning, and I doubt they want to spend all that time doing so.
B. There is already a q&a section, not to mention a great page of teks all organized.

Have you actually seen how many threads are in the cultivation section alone. My god it would drive any mod crazy having to do that.

i dont think it would be a public forum if mods were always deleting posts they didnt agree with, the beauty of a message board like this is everyone gets to put in their input and be heard, plus like the others said that process would take months, not a week

change your search settings so it shows most recent posts first, that will keep it most recent for you

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

its great that everyone gets to say what they want.. every post is unique, even though the general topic might be something that has been discussed many a time... You get answers from sooo many different sources and all cat's brain work different.. 20 folks might tell you to do one thing, and it doesnt work for you, the that one person comes and makes a different suggestion and solves everything....

this forum, and most others, are beautiful because of that...

To be honest some of the FAQ are full of bullshit...IMO anything beyond 0'5 TEKS are kind of full of bullshit too...i'll look over it tonight...to pick out what I believe from my mycologists teacher whats wrong and whats right...lol
