Question for college students here

I would have asked the counselors at my own college if there wasn't a 2 hour wait.
How many credit hours are needed before I can transfer from a community college to a university? I read that your AA in florida is 60. 36 general ed and 24 in something else.
I'm assuing those 36 gen ed courses, which requires 2 classes in math 3 in english and one in foregin language.. that that is the amount needed before I move on.
I may have the whole thing backwards though. Thats why i'm asking. I could do the research and find out myself, but i know theres students on here who have done been through this that can just tell me without me having to go through that time in order to find out.

You have to take a required amount of hours before you can transfer to a University? I've never heard of that and I don't even think it's true. I went to a CC for 1 year before transfering to a university. I could've went straight to the university or I could've went after 1 semester.

Its 12 in Illinois, because my brother just did.
But thats a minimum, and you better keep your grades up.

I suppose it depends on the school you are transferring to was well.
I would imagine the standards are a bit higher at UC-Berkely, or some other high-demand campus.

Just go get one of those little booklets (Like $5) with the classes in them. In there they'll have a thing that says AA (Community College Degree) and usually you'll need about 60 credits for the general one, or maybe a little less for a specific major. It'll also have guidlines for what classes you need.
