Some torrent questions
    #7849251 -

Im interested in downloading some stuff off of bittorrents and have never used them before. I was hoping you guys could reccomend some programs to make the proccess more secure, like ISP blockers etc...

What should I have on my comp before I start downloading?

Azureus, use RC4 encryption, there's proxies to use as well.

If you're asking this question, you'll find it really tough to actually be secure about it.

Your best bet is just play the odds, and hope they don't get you.

Get uTorrent. Crank that fucker up to like 100MB per second. Let the music and videos pour in :drooling:

uTorrent, no exceptions.

Also mininova rocks for torrents! Doesn't have everything, but is pretty close.

I just use AVG and Zonealarm for my security... then again I don't really have any money to steal

Torrents are pretty safe for the most part, I haven't got a thing from downloading one (even when I didn't have zonealarms running).

Do you mean safe virus wise or you dont have a huge risk of getting busted. Im more concerned with getting a letter in the mail than getting a virus.

Both lol I've never gotten a mail in the letter. And if you're that scared about something like that use an anonymous proxy like youhide.com when you visit torrent sites to go download stuff.
