Foobar2000 FLAC conversions

How do I go about converting a FLAC album to MP3 with foobar?

My friend does this so he can put FLAC format albums onto his mp3. I'm sure quality will be lost, but he claims that it is better than just normal mp3's.

Whenever I right click on my selection that I wish to convert, I scroll down to the 'convert...' option and click on it.

Then I tell it to convert to mp3(LAME) format. (I don't know why it says (LAME), but it does)

Then I hit 'ok', and then it tries to make me open a file. I'm stuck here.

But first off, how much quality if lost when converting a flac file to mp3?
