I just picked up some millet too. I saw a tek using Finch seed which is millet based. So I think it would work with straight milltet. The tek said to use a 1/2 cup water to 1 cup seed ratio, and to PC them 15 psi for 60 min. I dont know if it would work boiling millet though.

Try reading the FAQ again. Its there.

Grains MUST be sterilized with a pressure cooker, this is very important. You cannot sterilize them in boiling water like PF cakes.

Do not boil your millet, let it steep for 45 to 60 min. , drain it well for a couple hours, then spoon it into jars and pressiure cook for an hour.
I use a jelly bag to hold my grain while it steeps, fill 1 pint jars with a top verm barrier (Ramsay Seal), PC and innoculate at 5 points (an added center point).

Try this:
Take 2 cups of the seed and put in a pot.
Fill pot with water above level of seed
Turn heat to medium
as the seed warm they absorb the water
replace water in pot to keep seed from burning
After the seed have doubled in size, turn heat off
drain excess water off
Put seed in a mixing bowl
add enough vermiculite to keep the seed from clumping together easily.
With clean hands lightly grasp a handful and put in each jar
do not pack the jar fill to about half way
put the lids on rubber side up
keep lids loose
pressure cook for 45 minutes to an hour at 15psi.
let cool, then innoculate

Here is what I used to do.

Rinse millet, bring water to a boil, reduce heat, add millet. Like Shdwstr said keep it hot though. I keep the water hot enough to where the water will bubble every few seconds, Like a super light boil. Steep untill the millet just begain to explode. Rinse again and pack in jars. Sterilize thoroughly(sp?).
