Tabernanthe Iboga

I'll keep it short and sweet: does it grow well indoors? Would a seedling do alright on a windowsill? How much watering does T. Iboga require? Any info or personal growing experience you can share with me is much appreciated.
Thanks.

My imaginary neighbor says it grows OK in the kitchen. He said he used to keep a plastic bag over it to raise the humidity but it seems to prefer not being in it. Hasn't grown much. I hear it does not like cold or dryness.

added question: theoretically would it do well in a DWC hydro system, as the disirable alkaloids are in the roots?

Internet. Or maybe someone in the marketplace might have some to trade.

You can't get enough active ingredient to do anything from growing from seedling. It is great as a collector's specimen though.

It will do best in a pot. It will need to feel space to grow, and security. Don't move it much. At all. They can grow indoors but you need to make it a permanent space to lay down deep roots in. T. iboga has a powerful spirit and it wants to feel sacred. So that means a space all its own free from too much noise and vibration. Good sun. Infrequent watering. That's what it tells me.

So why is it that you can't get enough active ingredients when you grow from seedling?

You need a substantial amount of rootbark like with mimosa hostilis, the plant has to be very mature (many many years).
You could grow from seed but I don't think its worth the time or effort, just buy some bark from a vendor.
