finally! electric!

I just spent the most miserable 5 days of my life. Ice storm knocked out electric Sunday evening around 11pm. Just came on yesterday evening around 6pm. My roomie told his entire family they could stay here since they don't have electric yet. it's literally my roomie times 12 now. His niece woke up at 5:30am SCREAMING. his mom and sister got up and were yelling in their high pitched voices. Them proceeded to make some sort of curry and a batch of salt fish.

WHO EATS CURRY AND SALT FISH AT 6AM???

Have they not been exposed to Lucky Charms in all this time they've been in the states?

it wouldn't have been so bad if his nephews hadn't been up till 4am watching movies on his insanely loud home theatre system, which is right outside my bedroom, divided only by a set of french doors that rattle plus somehow one of the glass panes were broken.

I cannot take this. and it's not like I can bitch to him about it cuz he had heart surgery today.

all the hotels are full b/c a lot of people still don't have electric.

God. I'm sorry for ranting but I had to get this shit off my chest before I go fucking insane.

this is my space too, I pay to live here too, and at the end of this month when the bills come in, I'm going to have to pay for half of the extra water and gas expenses incurred from 12 other people living here.

I don't feel it was right for him to tell his whole family to come over without consulting me first.

honestly. this fucking blows.

since you do pay.. you have every right to ask him for a break on the utilities at the end of the month, as well as lay some basic ground rules for your living space.. like no loud movies at 4am.

where did this all go down? i never watch the news... i just saw two posts about it here, though...
