My friends house got robbed.... They took his wii

The guy must hold about an oz of marry jane, has a 32" LCD HDTV, money on the coffee table, 21" HD computer monitor and a decent computer, laptop..... But they took his Wii.....

I thought it was funny that is all they took and nothing else was touched.... Also they just took the Wii system and left the power cables, remote, games, sensor bar etc.....

I hate to laugh at his misfortune, but it made me chuckle...

He says "Hem... They left the PS3 and the 360..... Must have been a crack head"

That sucks, this guy I kind of know got robbed of a pound the other day by one of his "friends". He's 22 still lives at home and his "friend" came to the door and told his mom that he left his I pod up in the dudes room and could he come in and get it. The mom said sure and he went up knew right where the pound was and grabbed it and then left.

He is not that upset over the loss, we just could not make heads or tails as to why it was the only thing taken.... Also why didn't they at least take a game, or better yet the power cord :shrug:

What leads you to believe that his place was broken in to?

I mean, just that fact that some one took my wii, and left without taking anything else, would be cause enough to make me look at myself, and say "did i take datura? was i really drunk last night and lone it to a friend? Is this a dream?"

All three of those seem more probable.

I had a break-in like that about a year ago. At first it was just movies and CD's we found were gone. Then we started noticing shoes gone, then my roommate noticed strange charges on his bank and credit cards. Apparently they tried to disguise their intentions by taking random stuff, when the real heist was going on at someones computer.

Crackheads would defiantly take the power cables, they know better than I that pawn shops don't buy systems without power/av cables.

To all the people saying fuck the Wii:

There aren't shortages of PS3 and 360 like there are for Wii and CHRISTMAS IS IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS. Of course you're gonna grab something Nintendo can't produce enough of and parents are lining up to get...that'll fetch a pretty penny on the open market, see.

I bet it was a parent who knows nothing about wii, but their kid had been begging them for one all year and now with the shortages, figured this was the only way to get one. Too bad they didn't know that you need all the other parts in order to play. haha.

Robbery is when someone jacks you. Burglary is when someone comes into your house and takes your things. Just to clarify. A house can't get robbed, only a person.
