Homemade Lysol

Hey i was wondering if i wanted to have alot of lysol without having to buy it could i just use an alcohol/water solution cause those were the ingredients in lysol, ethanol and water

i remember reading somewhere on this website that a solution of-
1 part bleach - 10 parts water in a spray bottle works cheaper than buyin out lysol (thats from my memory)

i searched it and came up with nothin so im gonna use like 1 part h202 3 parts alcohol and 6 parts water and wipe it down afterwards

lysol is a phenolic disinfectant.
I'm pretty sure you won't be able to make a home-made version.

I agree with the dilute bleach idea, as long as it's for non-porous surfaces.

I use Everclear 151 as a disinfectant now because Lysol tends to cause mutations if used in close proximity to growing mycelium.

Everclear 151 is 75.5% ethanol. Works great in a spray bottle to spray things down then wipe down with a clean cloth. However it IS highly flammable so no flaming needles etc around the stuff.

Ethanol is also one of the disinfectants thats certified for medical use.

sounds like a damn expensive cleaning agent... hes lookin for a cheaper alternative to lysol... and im sure everclear isn't much better for shrooms than lysol, you should wipe clear any sterilizing product from a surface that your shrooms will contact.
