Salvia and Insecticide

Does anyone know of a good insecticide that isn't too caustic to the plant. I have some annoying little flying bugs setting up shop in my salvia pot and I want to kill tham without damaging the goods. Thanks

I've used insecticides based on neem extract... check the ingredients. Use a fruit and vegetable insecticide so you can remove it easily after for consumption. Also, spray your plants in the evening to avoid leaf burn. Good luck! And... if they're flies, I heard something about letting the soil get dry to kill off the larva, but I'm not sure.

That's not actually true (that lady bugs only eat aphids). I know for a fact they'll also eat white fly, mites, and fruit worms. And they're sooooo pretty....

Plus praying mantiis are kinda creepy
